Kranji to take Super Saturday racing from Flemington

The Singapore Turf Club will be taking ‘live’ races from Flemington Racecourse on Saturday, 8 March, in addition to Perth races. Perak Turf Club has cancelled its race meeting on Saturday due to Malaysia’s Polling Day. The first race from Flemington, the TBV Thoroughbred Stakes, will commence at 8.40am with the last race at 13.50pm while the first race from Perth Racing will run at 11.44am with the last race at 16.20pm.
Cash betting on races from Perth and Flemington will be available at the Singapore Racecourse (Level 1 Grandstand), all off-course betting centres and Singapore Pools’ branches from 8.15am, and through TELEBET services from 8.00am this Saturday.
Commented Mr Teo Kim Heng, Vice President (Sales & Business Development), Singapore Turf Club, “To provide our customers a variety of races that afternoon, we have arranged to take some exciting races from Flemington, including two of its richest races – the Newmarket Handicap and the Darley Australian Cup, both Group 1 races with prizemoney of AUD$1,005,000, which I hope racing fans will enjoy.”
TELEBET customers can also tune in to Horse Racing Channel 88 and 89 to catch the ‘live’ telecast of the races from Perth and Flemington respectively.
