Van Wyk Rolls Gold

Rhys Van Wyk had his first winner as a trainer today at Kimberly Racetrack.
Rolled Gold the 4yo gelding was ridden by F. Naude and left an emotional Van Wyk paying tribute to his late father H.J.J. Van Wyk. It would not be a sign of madness for owners to support this superb horseman and get decent horses to Rhys's training establishment. He has a tranquill plot at Randjiesfontein with a uphill training track. There is no doubt that Rhys will make a top trainer. Rhys at one time had no peers in the race riding game and although a heavyweight jockey still maintaned a very high strike rate.
We at Formgrids wish him all the best in his new venture.
